Start your diet with a food diary. Record what you were doing at the time and how you felt.
Set attainable goals. Don’t say, “I want to lose 50 pounds.” Say, “I want to lose 5 pounds a month.” You will
achieve your goal much faster and the natural way.
|
Limit the carbohydrates - i.e. when going out to eat at a restaurant and they bring you bread out in a nicely wrapped basket, try not to have any and if you must, then have one piece instead of eating the entire basket. Wait patiently for your meal or drink water. Water does fill your stomach quickly – you will be surprised.
Drink loads of H2O – fruits and vegetables are loaded with H2O which means that you can drink less actual water
If you have sugar around the house or apartment or around you in any location, you will eat it. Instead have fruits around, so you can munch on them and plus fruits are more colorful than sugar.

If you are about to cheat, allow yourself a treat, then eat only half of it and share it with someone else (great way to meet someone)
Late at night, when hunger hits you, wait 10 minutes before eating and see if it passes. Cravings of all kinds typically do pass. (However, do not starve yourself)
Get enough sleep but not too much. When you get too much sleep, it makes you lazier.
Try to avoid sugar, because it makes you crave it more.

Everyone knows this – drink fluids especially 6 to 8 glasses of water. Drinking water cuts down on water retention and it dulls the appetite by giving you that “full” feeling. (this causes you to eat less)
You might want to start to diet with a buddy. This will help you in the long run. You both can be each others support system
The last thing you want to do is eat out of anger or depression. In the end it will not help you at all.
If you want to eat something late a night, eat a cracker or something small to kill that craving for something big. You will wake up in the morning craving an awesome breakfast.
Keep water next to your bed so in the middle of the night, you can drink water and kill the hunger pangs that wake you up. However, do not starve yourself.
Try to weigh yourself in the morning once every two weeks. You will slowly start to see progress and your goal will slowly be achieved.
Do not shop when you are hungry. Everything will look good and you will spend money on useless things.

Avoid finger foods that are easy to dig into and eat in large amounts.
Believe it or not, alcoholic beverages can make you gain weight – so drink accordingly. Do not over do it.
Keep plenty of crunchy foods like raw vegetables, almonds, or air-popped fat –free popcorn on hand. They are high in fiber, satisfying, and filling.
Set a goal and lose weight for yourself, not for anyone else.
|
Never skip meals through out the day. If you skip meals, it will lead to blood sugar levels to drip and can create mood swings and sugar cravings. Skipping also means your metabolism slows down and can’t handle the utilization of all the food you feed it
Eat with patience. Never gobble the meal down in a hurry – this will only want you to have more food.
Have safe sex. studies show that this is a good way to exercise but of course do it with someone you are married to.
