when your own thoughts
even whispered
echo so loud.
when eyes speak
and are understood
in the midst of a crowd,
when the colour of a rose
hints at a song
when you hear a leaf falling
softly to the ground,
hardened with age
drifting with no sound.
The solitude
Of being alone
When a loved on
takes their leave,
The silence within a coffin,
Around which many bereave.
