A dreamers escape from the starkness of life in a land of little and population of plenty

The heavens that cast me aside to die
Above them shall I one day fly
In wings not Helious be able to melt
Nor be broken by storms Zeus may pelt

Sceptered by kings, anointed by God?
Nay, I sprung from common sod
The power of soil indeed be that great
Even a concert of gods thwart not my fate

As i sally forth, a deadly storm rages
A million battles my heavy mind wages
What of them, not blessed but damned
Their life a ship, pilotless, unmanned?

You that profess to be All Knowing
Speak plainly thus, why is grief still showing?
why day be short, eternal appeareth the night
for handful of grain do grown men fight

What use progress, what science does sway?
when men in hunger, wither away
Take me wind, o fair friend, away from this sorrow
and fly me away into a bountiful morrow!
