A brief excerpt from the translated article by Sahar Syed. Sahar Syed is doing masters in Computer Science from Karachi.
The title of this article, Mardon Ki Dunya..Aurton Ki Sadee means... 'world of Men...Century of Women'
Though this is a male-dominated world..but the basis of this domination is not the ability that one might think men have...rather it is due to the fact that they are physically more powerful than women. this dominance in power made women dependent on men. Though there are examples of women rulers in history and of women who have raised voices for their rights...but there are very few of them. Possibly because most of the historians were men. In later years, women were given the right to vote...and some independence but due to unsatisfactory working atmosphere women mainly prefered to remain in the four walls of their home.
The development in every field of life gradually lessened the burden from the shoulders of women. Women started working and became financially independent. This gave them the confidence that men had deprived them of for so long. Altough physically weak, they proved themseleves equal to men in every field of life. But the fact is they still have to face the superiority complex
men suffer from.
Women are struggling to get rid of the inferiority complex that has been gifted to them by men. The technoligical development and dependence on machines is slowly eliminating the factor of physical weakness that has played a major part in the suppression of women. In the time to come, the women who have always been ruled upon will rule the world.
