Popping your Pills:
Always wash down your pills with water and nothing else. Coffee, tea and other warm liquids can melt the coating of the pill. Fruit juice is too acidic, and milk too alkaline.both can neutralise the effect of drugs.

When you go for your evening walk, try and hit the ground 90 times a minute. When you lift each foot, your thigh should be at a 90 degree angle to the other thigh. This way, you'll lose a sure 110 calories for every kilometre you walk.

If you're taking in less than 1000 calories a day, you're on a crash diet. Switch to a diet that ranges from 1200 to 1500 calories a day, depending on your weight.

How to tell if you're getting the max vitamins and minerals from your veggies? Simple. Just check the colours-got a mix of deep yellows, reds, greens and orange? You're doing fine.

When your head's in a spin, pamper your feet! Yes! Just push the tip of your thumb across the pad of your foot, where the skin changes colour. Flex your toes with the other hand. Instant freedom from tension in head and neck.

Control that runny nose with a dose of your favourite spices. Turn to turmeric-just add one tablespoon of turmeric powder to a jug of scalding hot water and inhale the vapours to clear nasal passages. Check out cinnamon-boil half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder with pepper in one cup of water. Swirl in honey and sip.
Bugs in your Mug
Office mugs are a potential source of infection-40 percent of them carry bacteria. So before you pour yourself some coffee, wash your mug with anti-bacterial soap.

Gassy veggies like cabbage, beans and cauliflower can distend your tummy. Other culprits: salt, pickle, potato chips, fizzy drinks-even chewing gum! The next time you want to look slim for a party, just guzzle all day-we're talking about water, of course!
