...Just a Dream

Dev Mitra, a high school graduate from Cambridge New Delhi, is now pursuing an architecture degree from Bharti Vidya Peeth, Pune. Writing poems gives him an outlet to express his inner most feelings, feelings that can be better expressed through words."I can breathe easily through poetry. As I am a sensitive person, poetry has actually become a medium for me to express my eelings."He also says that he can almost hear his soul talk to him while writing.
He enjoys writing about human feelings and thoughts as they are the most complex of all things. "I feel that the human mind with all its complexities is a far more interesting topic than anything else. He uses his poetry to study his inner-self and others too."
Dev believes that poetry is the best way to safely let out all those feelings and thoughts that would otherwise be considered ‘different’ in the real world. He aims to attain the truth of life, which he believes is surrounding us even though we can't see it directly.
He plans on becoming a famous architect and wants to continue writing as much as he can

Have you ever-imagined freedom,
Have you ever-imagined peace,
Just try this picture,
you are all alone,
you are very happy,
you don’t have to worry about the past
cause you don’t have any past,
you don’t have to worry about the future cause you don’t care,
its only the present that bothers you
its only you ,what you are
no possessions, no weaknesses,
you don’t have any parents
any brothers, any sisters or friends
its like you are as free as the soul
its like it’s a bright sunny day you are walking in a grass field,
the wind is making the grass move slowly
and you are like the wind
you are moving
no one can stop you
all you can see is the bright blue sky and the wide expanse of the grass,
it never seems to end
you are breathing the fragrance of it
you like it
you love it!!
You forget everything
Your fear,
Your jealousies,
Your anger,
Your sorrows
Everything.
This is the dream I dream
But I am afraid it is not possible here
because this world wont let me dream this way
but I try
that’s the only thing I can do!!
