Return to the article Nandita Shankar comments : Mr. Raina's article is superb and certainly thought provoking!He leads us down memory lane, through emotions we almost shudder to recall.However, solace lies in his simple answer~"faith in God and in the four letter word LOVE." Hats off to him, for saying it, as it is! On the eve of the first anniversary of 9/11, temples, churches,synagogues and mosques throughout this nation were bursting with prayer and hoping for peace.If the sense of kinship, camaraderie and love,that we felt on 9/11 last year, is still alive and well,then we have a chance.If with time, that love fades away then all is lost. Indifference and apathy can set in and we may end up paying yet another heavy price for it, somehow, somewhere, in some land or the other. Let us spread the love in our homes,into our neighborhoods and work places.Only then can we love the rest of the world with all of God's creatures. "Love", indeed is the most noble of emotions and does "conquer all!"~hopefully even the fire within many a violent mind. Nandita Shankar
