I agree with your last line of the story, 'she is anybody living next
door.' Every region has its own culture. If people of another culture begin to comapre lives of women from a different society, there are bound to be fault found. but here, its a typical Indian bride who finds peace by assimilating into her new world. Its from person to person. It takes only a little time to make adjustment and you can return to your orginal state of happiness anyhow. (I am not implying your character is unhappy)
