Dear Mr.Parrikar,
Many thanks for writing such informative articles. I was thoroughly impressed by the masterful & expert selection of excerpts of musical renderings of yesteryears which are hard to listen to nowadays.I am interested in reading Hindustani Sangeet Padhdhati by Pt.V.N.Bhatkhande. Can you please tell me where is it available?

WONDERFUL!!! I have been anticipating this as long as I have frequented this portion of the site...Desi! Your collection is so impressive that I new you had to have a number of versions of Desi. Well done. Especially the versions by Omkarnath and Palushkar. I would love to get my hands on those. Next is Abhogi.
Keep it up. This is a true service.

Take on Desi :

How come you missed Pt.Omkarnath Thakur's famous Desi....?
Mare Dere aavo...
If you do not have clips, please let me know..

The author responds:
Omkarnath Thakur's Desi clip ("kadama ki chayya") is already in there. As for "mare dere aavo" we have included Kesarbai's rendition of the same.
Warm regards,

Dear Mr. Parrikar,
Stupendous collection. The most impressive part is the information about the 'swaroop' of the raga by Pandit Jha ji. Notations can be found in books but the actual indepth knowledge of Ragaas have to learnt from the maestro himself. I have been longing to play desi on the flute .
Are u in USA presenlty? I am in NY . Would like to keep in touch with you.
Thanks again for the excellent info.
