Anu Chopra comments :
i saw the monsoon wedding twice and loved it even more the second time.one just connects with the movie about a society in transition.as for child abuse mira did a great service to people by bringing it out of the closet.these things r so rapant in our joint family system but unfortunately few people r like nasiruddin shah to take a bold stance

Suza Valliere comments :
You are right about Alice and Dubey, being the only one with genuine emotions. Although, Rahul and Ayeesha do look like they have an eye for each other-but you know how those go! I wish this movie had shown a little more of what happened after the wedding-instead of ending it right there! But this movie is fantastic, even the ending can't take away its success!
