But there are Americans -who, like you,- are sensitive to the issue and notice the inequity of this sudden shifting of gears, lifting sanctions, and being in bed - even with the Sudan. Thoughtful Americans take objection to it but under the circumstances - a terrible struggle against world terrorism" justifies some shenanigans, which would be unacceptable under different circumstances. It must not be forgotten that peace without justice is no peace at all, just moral weakness which has to be paid for at a terrible price. Everybody wants peace, but it must be based on justice and decency. President Bush needs the support of course (even of unsavory elements) to prevail in the monumental struggle, but we all pray to God that this terrible battle will enlighten his spirit, so he will profit for the future and extend caring justice to all peoples of good will. Let us pray for America, that this experience will enlarge the people's heart and mind and open their eyes to do what is right and just for the entire human family.
