Jay comments :
I am one of those who do not understand music but love it immensely . It is a great education as well as entertainment for individuals like us .

Thank you .

Sanjay Sangvai comments :
It is good that some one is caring for the authentic classical muusicians. If possible add something about Alladiya Khan Sahib, Baba Alaudiin Khan, Kumar Gandharva. Kumar Gandharva and Vasantrao Deshpande have been of immense value for Indian Classical music.

Dr. Mandar Kale comments :
Thanks a lot for a good collection and
a apt account of the music collection. I have a request for Mr. Parrikar or some associated person. Since I do not have a good band-width, I could not listen to these music pieces. Are these made out of some cassettes/CDs which are available in the market? If yes, can I get the list. I am a passionate listener of Dr. Vasantrao Deshapande, and running an active small drive of collecting his reocrdings. Can you give me the name of the company, the cassette release no etc. If this cassette is not available in the market, can you give me those reocrdings from your collection? I want only those three. Is it possible?

I also have a request for spreading the word to your music lover friends about my drive of collecting the recordings. I have already written to many people about this. If you or any one of your friend is interested in a particular artiste and wants to collect his/her recordings I will be happy to be part of it.

with warm regards,

Dr. Mandar Kale

I am learning with Dr. Rajabhau Sontakke in Bangalore currently. His guru was Pt. Omkarnath Thakur.
I would like to know any location where hindusthani classical music ram/mp3s are available free of cost ?
If you could add some more to this collection, it would be great.

Regards
Ravi

Thanks a lot for such a informative article and snippets of true indian classical music. Even though i have quite a collection of old music but I still looking for gems that I did not have opportunity of listening and treasuring. I like senior dagar brothers, Alauddin Khan and if you could possibly lead me to get copies of old recordings I would be thankful to you for the rest of my life.
Thanks and regards

Its a wonderful collection. Would you be willing to share the Vasantrao Deshpande complete audios? I am a big fan of his been so since I was very young. We used to live about half a km from his house and many a times I would stand outside his house on the street listening when he would practice. I have never heard his NAND before.
