Indian Americans Grow In Numbers, Not Influence
Jai Patel comments : Also, being that we are not unified as a an ethnic group, I see that Hindus are not so united in USA too. Alot of young Hindus, including myslef, don't know much about their religion. Maybe it's because the Hindu temple isn't so efficient (lack of better word) than like the Jewish temple or the Catholic church. From going to a Catholic School all my life, I tend to see from this perspective: The Hindu Temple unfortunately, are not thinking about the future of Indian Americans so much. Why are so many Indian AMericans now have non-vegetarian diets, and speak very little of any Indian language? In comparison to the Jewish temple, many young Jews know Hebrew, but many young Hindus, unfortunately me too, don't know Hindi. I think the whole "not keeping cohesion of the believers" in USA of the Hindu religion has spilled over to the entire ethnic group of Indian Americans. Thus it causes a lack of leadership and cohesion in the Asian Indian AMerican community. Anyone catch my drift? Email me if you have positive or negative feedback. Thank you! Some Guy comments : >>>> Indians could easily pass the Filipinos in a few years, especially if the economy continues to weaken, forcing more American men to do without mail-order brides.
As a filipino, I find this offensive. FYI, majority of filipino women in the US are not mail-order brides. Vandana Verma comments : I have been seriously mistreated by Americans. I completely hate them. I hope they perish. |
