Rudy Bhagan comments :
I am very much interested in Indian classical music, after reading your articles I would like to obtain any literature on Ragas. If you could provide it I would gladly pay for the cost and it would be much appreciated.

Namaste, I came upon your sites a few days ago and come back regularly now to read more. Commenting on these rare ragas in Kalyan that, are you familiar with Adbhut Kalyan? In Dagarvani this raga is sometimes sung.It is the only raga I know of that omits both Ma and PA!
Otherwise thanks for putting out the info and the soundfiles!

Suvir Misra comments :
It is absolutely non-sense that the three renditions of hem kalyan of the sadarang cheezas do not match. Much less they are absolutely faulty, disjointed and un-intelligible.
Thanks for bringing this expose (without stating so).

J S Pande comments :
the khem kalyan song should read'
"piharva maikain[mujhko]deho bataaye....
mora jiya un sung laagaa"

The author responds::
It shall be emended appropriately. Thank you.

Kapil Dev comments :
I read somewhere that to sing both hem kalyan and khem kalyan was considered to be the ultimate test of a vocalist's proficiency.U have provided good notes for students, and good samples for laymen like me.

Sachin Chandratre comments :
About Hem kalya, it is mentioned that there is no combination of Kalyan. However, as per Dr. Tengashe, and even Pt. Bhatkhande, there is a combination of Kamod and Shuddha Kalyan. Sa" pa or P D PP S" indicates the same. Hem ang and Kalyan Ang are the comibation however, kamod's picture is appeared. Pt. V.R. Athawale also discribed this.
