It rightly highlights the issue of the Indian extended family in America. The extended Indian family often provides support and strength for young wives in this country. But the extended family also becomes court that judges the ambitious and free-spirited women. And they get abused. My concern is- very few Asian Indian men speak up on the issue of Asian-Indian marriages and wife-abuse. Jyoti Pande comments : Very informative article about the challenges faced by Indian women.
